Saint Louis' Jon Myers drove in two runs in the top of the fifth inning, while pitchers Damian Rivera and Travis Parker held the Fordham Rams to just one run, as the Billikens earned a 5-1 victory over the Rams at Billikens Sports Center in St. Louis, Mo.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 27-17 overall, 8-7 in the Atlantic 10, while Saint Louis improves to 24-19 on the season, 6-9 in the league.
Fordham struck first in the top of the third inning for a 1-0 lead.  Tim Swatek led off with a double to center, extending his season-high hit streak to eight games.  Mike Mauri then drew a walk, while Swatek stole third.  After a strikeout, Ryan Maghini plated Swatek with a sacrifice fly.
Saint Louis then rallied for three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to take a 4-1 lead.  In the fifth with two on and one out, Jerry Mancuso singled off Fordham reliever Rich Anastasi to load the bases. Zach Miller then drew a walk to force in a run, while Jon Myers had a two-run single for a 3-1 lead.
The Billikens made it 4-1 in the sixth as Jordan Hammerman doubled down the right field line off Fordham reliever Jonathan Reich, while Cody Cotter drove him in with a single to center for the first earned run off Reich all season.
The Rams tried to get some damage done in the top of the 7th, as pinch-hitter Stephen McSherry singled to right, followed by a one out single from Mauri.  After a fielder's choice left the Rams with first and third and two outs, McSherry tried to score on a wild pitch but pitcher Travis Parker was able to get the tag down to end the inning.
Saint Louis tacked on one more unearned run in the eighth to seal a 5-1 victory and take the series.
Saint Louis' Damian Rivera improved to 2-1 on the season, allowing one run on three hits in five innings, while Parker earned his second save of the series and eighth overall with four innings of four-hit relief with two strikeouts.
Fordham's Max Krakowiak (4-6) took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits with five walks in 4.1 innings of work.  At the plate, Chris Walker was 2-for-4, while Swatek and Maghini were both 1-for-3 with a double and a stolen base.
The Fordham baseball team will next be in action on Tuesday, May 3rd, when the Rams take on crosstown rival, Manhattan College at Van Cortlandt Park at 3:30 PM.
