Dayton's Rachel Krabacher posted 10 kills, six digs, and five blocks, while Megan Campbell added seven kills and seven blocks, as the Flyers swept a three-set match from the Fordham Rams at the Frericks Center in Dayton, Ohio. Final set scores were 25-10, 25-12, and 25-14.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 7-21 on the season, 4-9 in the Atlantic 10, while Dayton improved to 20-6 overall, 12-2 in the league.
The Flyers celebrated their Senior Day with a strong performance, posting 11 team blocks, and holding Fordham to a -.074 hitting percentage, as the Rams could not find the balanced offense they had on Friday night. Fordham committed 30 attack errors to 23 kills, while managing only three blocks.
For Fordham, Brittany Daulton had a team-high eight kills to go with four digs, while Rose Diaz-Vazquez posted five kills and three blocks. Sara Konkel dished out 10 assists and five digs, with Mary Diamantidis having eight assists and seven digs.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, November 11th, when the Rams host Charlotte at 4:00 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
