Sept. 25, 2010

Cambridge, Mass. - With two conference matches in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Fordham water polo looked to have a great chance to start Northern Division play at 3-0 with matches against Harvard and MIT. The Rams opened the day with a 13-5 win over Harvard, but dropped a 13-10 decision at MIT to earn a split of their conference matches.

With the split, Fordham is 8-8 overall, 2-1 in the CWPA Northern Division.

In the opening match of the day, the Rams opened with a 4-0 lead in the first quarter and did not look back, finishing with a 13-5 win over the Crimson.

In net, Christian Flessner made five saves to go with three steals in three quarters of play, while Eric Mullery saw his first action in net with two saves in the final quarter.

In the nightcap, MIT and Fordham were tied at eight all before the Engineers closed out the game with five of the last seven goals to win the game by a 13-10 count.

Arat was the lone multi-goal scorer for Fordham, netting four markers, while Hultman, Andrew McKernin, Edwards, Muñoz, de Jong, and Muller each had one.
