Volleyball Topped By St. John's

Queens, N.Y. - St. John's Brunna Kronbauer had eight kills and three aces, while Darlene Ramdin had six kills and seven blocks, as the Red Storm topped the Fordham Rams in three sets. Final set scores were 25-13, 25-12, and 25-15.

With the loss Fordham falls to 6-6, while St. John's improves to 11-3.

Virtually nothing went right for the Rams in the match, as the team hit -.041 for the match, which was produced by 24 attack errors by Fordham, 12 of which were team blocks by the Red Storm.

St. John's also produced offensively with a .317 hitting percentage to go with 12 service aces.

For Fordham, Christi Griffiths had a team-high five kills, while Kim Capicotto and Katie Wells each had four. Mary Diamantidis and Maria Rodenberg each had eight assists with Sara Friede having a team-high five digs, defensively.

The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, September 17th, when they begin play at the Columbia Invitational, against host Columbia at 7:00 PM.
