The victory also helps the Rams to an undefeated record on the road this year at 15-0, and extends Fordham's win-streak to 14 games.

Junior Jocelyn Dearborn (New Milford, Pa./Blue Ridge) led off the game with a single to third base, and junior Beckah Wiggins (Conklin, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) singled to the left side two at bats later. Both Dearborn and Wiggins were on base for Fisher's over the fence rip.
Sophomore Jessica Richards (Trabuco Canyon, Calif./Mission Viejo) hit a double that curved over the right field line in the top of the fourth. Richards advanced to third on sophomore Lindsey Kay Bright's (Federal Way, Wash./Decatur) hit to the shortstop Bright was called safe on the infield hit as the Iona firstbaseman took her foot off the bag on the catch. On Dearborn's at bat, Bright went to steal second. The Gaels' catcher threw down to her secondbaseman but the ball got past her and into the field. Bright saw the opportunity to grab third, and Richards went in to score. On the next pitch, Dearborn hit a solid single to center to score Bright at third and Fordham went up 5-0 through three and a half innings.
Fordham scored their final run of the game in the top of the sixth as rookie Chelsea Palumbo (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) hit a double into right field.
