Bronx, N.Y. - In their first home game of the spring season, the Fordham men's soccer team got two goals from junior Felipe Gomez to complete a 2-1 come from behind win over Long Island University on Murphy Field.

After a scoreless first half, the Blackbirds scored first on a long throw in, which was tapped in from close range.

The Rams then knotted the game at one on a breakaway goal by Felipe Gomez. Gomez later put the Rams ahead for good with his second goal of the afternoon off an assist from Andre Seidenthal.

Jon Bratincevic made the start in net, keeping LIU off the scoresheet, while Ryan Meara played the second half.

The Fordham men's soccer team will next be in action on Saturday, April 17th in New Rochelle, N.Y., as they play Iona at 1:45 PM and Lafayette at 3:00 PM.
