The Rams' pitching staff held that lead up, as Ryan DeMartino (1-0) picked up his first collegiate win, throwing two hitless innings of relief with a strikeout, while Brando Casalicchio closed out his first save with 1.2 hitless innings of relief. Fordham starter Max Krakowiak had a solid start in the no-decision, allowing just one earned run on six hits with six strikeouts in 5.1 innings.
