Bronx, N.Y. - For 80 minutes, the St. Bonaventure Bonnies looked as if they were going to post a 1-0 Atlantic 10 road win. However, Fordham's John McHugh scored twice, including 2:15 into overtime, giving Fordham a 2-1 comeback win over the Bonnies at Jack Coffey Field.

With the win, Fordham improves to 7-5 overall, 2-1 in the Atlantic 10, while St. Bonaventure falls to 7-6 on the year, 2-2 in league play.

St. Bonaventure opened the scored at the 6:23 mark, as Robert D'Cruz, who subbed into the game following an injury, scored on a header inside the box off a cross from Chris Leko. It was D'Cruz's first goal of the season.

The score remained the way until the 81st minute, when Fordham's Julian Nagel hit a long ball ahead to Matt Courtenay. Courtenay then crossed the ball to John McHugh, who knocked it in for his second goal of the season.

That goal forced the game into overtime, where McHugh, who had been called offsides on multiple occasions in the game, was able to stay onsides, following a long ball from Tim Richardson. McHugh dribbled his way through three St. Bonaventure defenders into the middle of the box, firing in his second goal of the game at the 92:15 mark to win it for Fordham.

Fordham's Ryan Meara made only one save in the contest as St. Bonaventure was limited to six shots in the game, only one of which was in the second half. David Flynn had two saves for the Bonnies on 12 shots.

The Fordham men's soccer team will next be in action on Friday, October 22nd, as it travels to George Washington University for an Atlantic 10 match-up, beginning at 3:00 PM.
