Water Polo Wraps Up Play at Navy Invitational

Annapolis, Md. - The Fordham water polo team wrapped up play at the Navy Invitational on Sunday with matches against top tier teams, Concordia (Calif.) and 18th-ranked Bucknell.

In their first match, Fordham fell to Concordia (Calif.), who beat 12th ranked Navy later in the day, by a final of 18-10.

Mikey Edwards led the Fordham offense with five tallies in the game, while Alex Powell and Victor Bautista Medina each had two goals. Jakob Muller also scored for the Rams. In net, Christian Flessner made six saves to go with a steal.

In their second match, #18 Bucknell topped Fordham by a 15-9 score.

This time, Ali Arat scored five times for the Rams, while Cashel Barnett, Martin de Jong, Muller, and Mark Connor each had one. Flessner repeated his performance from earlier in the day with six saves and a steal.

The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on September 12-13, as they compete at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
