Washington, D.C. - Still searching for the first conference win of the season, the Fordham volleyball team couldn't get into a grove at George Washington on Sunday, falling in three sets to the Colonials. Final set scores were 25-18, 25-17, and 25-17.

With the loss, Fordham is 8-12 overall, 0-4 in the Atlantic 10, and have now dropped eight in a row. George Washington improved to 12-5 overall, 3-1 in the conference.

Not much went right for the Rams, as they hit .124 for the match and committed 12 service errors, while George Washington hit just under .300 as a team, committing only 11 attack errors.

For Fordham, Sara Friede had a team-high 10 kills, while Katie Wells had seven kills and three blocks. Katherine Burrell dished out 27 assists to go with five digs, with Megan Arend adding a match-high 14 digs.

The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, October 9th, when they host the University of Dayton at 7:00 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
