Durham, N.C. - For the second straight game, the Fordham women's soccer team put together another solid first half, trailing a nationally ranked top ten team, 1-0. Unfortunately, the second half was a different story, as Fordham fell to third-ranked North Carolina by a 6-0 score at the Duke/adidas Classic in Durham, N.C.

With the loss, Fordham is now 3-3-1 on the season, while North Carolina improves to 7-1-1.

Despite being out shot 15-1 in the first half, Fordham gave up just one goal, which came in the tenth minute. Casey Nogueira recorded her sixth goal of the season with assists going to Allie Long and Nikki Washington.

Fordham's Elisabeth Roald made four saves in that first half, leaving the Rams trailing by one, entering the second half.

The second half wasn't kind to the Rams, as North Carolina netted five second half goals, including two by Brittani Bartok in the final ten minutes.

The Rams were out shot 32-4 in the match, as Katie Sanchez, Michelle Ancelj, Mariella Romano, and Katie McDermott each had one shot for Fordham. Roald finished the game with seven saves.

Following the tournament, Katie McDermott and Lauren Bustos were named to the All-Tournament team.
