Competition at the Eighth Annual Rose Hill Classic concluded on Saturday with Princeton winning the title with a 3-0 record, while Fordham took second place.
In the first match of the day, Princeton topped Stony Brook in four sets, 25-18, 22-25, 25-23, and 25-14.  Princeton's Parker Henritze led the Princeton attack with 15 kills and 15 digs, while Bailey Robinson finished with 40 assists and 10 digs.
In match two, Fordham topped Manhattan in four sets, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, and 25-23.  The match was an extremely tight contest with a total of 39 tie scores in the match, but Fordham would take control late in each of the last three sets.
For Fordham, Christi Griffiths had a team-high 16 kills and four blocks, while Jenna Hart and Katherine Burrell each had a double-double with ten kills and 12 digs and 31 assists and 17 digs, respectively.  Megan Arend also chipped in 11 digs defensively.
In match three, Princeton clinched the Rose Hill Classic title with a five set win over Manhattan by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 22-25, 22-25, and 15-6.  Princeton was once again led by Lindsey Ensign, who totaled 19 kills, while Bailey Robinson and Henritze each had double-doubles.
In the final match of the tournament, Fordham captured second place with a 3-1 victory over Stony Brook. Set scores were 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, and 26-24.  Fordham had the offensive game working, hitting .306 as a team in the match, while also collecting 13 team blocks.
For Fordham, Griffiths had 16 kills, seven blocks, and a .423 hitting percentage, while Burrell had seven kills, 53 assists, and five digs.  Hart chipped in 13 kills and nine digs with Kailee May and Katie Wells each having 10 kills.
Following the tournament, Princeton's Lindsey Ensign was named the tournament MVP, while the all-tournament team consisted of Princeton's Bailey Robinson and Parker Henritze, Stony Brook's Gulce Dikecligi and Ashley Headen, Fordham's Christi Griffiths, and Manhattan's Sherryta Stokes.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on September 19-20, as they compete in the UC-Davis Tournament in Davis, California.
