Fairfield, Conn. - Mike Mobbs doubled home Alex Kenny in the top of the 13th inning to break a 9-9 tie and lead Fordham to a 10-9 win over Fairfield on Alumni Diamond. With the win, The Rams improve to 14-11 while Fairfield falls to 5-17.

Kenny led off the Fordham 13th with a pinch hit single and he moved to second on a throwing error on Fairfield catcher Mike Weiner. A Ryan David sacrifice moved Kenny to third and Mobbs delivered him with a double down the right field line.

The Stags threatened in the bottom the 13th as Adam Chilelli walked with one out and moved to second on a Brian Rudolph single. But Fordham pitcher Angelo Ponte got Tucker Nathans to fly out and Jason Rago to ground out to end the game.

Fordham jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first as, with one out, Rich Goulian walked, stole second and scored, one out later, when Michael Taddei reached on an error. Bobby DiNardo followed with a single and P.J. Como brought in both runners with a double.

Three more Fordham runs in the second gave the Rams a 6-0 lead. David led off the Fordham second with a walk and Mobbs reached on an error, with David moving to third. Mobbs stole second and, one out later, David scored on a wild pitch, with Mobbs taking third. Mobbs then came in to score on another Fairfield error with Goulian reaching first on the play and Goulian would score later in the inning on a Taddei single.

P.J. Como led off the top of the third with a single and he scored later in the inning on a passed ball to give Fordham a 7-0 lead before the Stags pushed six runs across the plate in the home half of the third to make it a one-run game. Michael Joyce led off the Fairfield third with a walk and Patrick Hoban was hit by a pitch. Desimone walked to load the bases and, one out later, Rudolph was hit by a pitch to force in Joyce. A Nathans single delivered Hoban and brought on Fordham reliever Andrew Davis. A Davis wild pitch brought in Desimone and a walk to Rago loaded the bases once more. Rudolph then came in to score on another wild pitch before a walk to Peter Allen reloaded the bases. Nathans then came in on Davis' third wild pitch of the inning before Mickey White came on to pitch for the Rams, with the first batter he faced, Weiner, plating Rago with a sacrifice fly.

Fairfield tied the game at seven in the sixth, on a Matt Tiagwad sacrifice fly, and then took an 8-7 lead in the eighth when Tiagwad doubled and scored later in the frame on a Chilelli ground out.

The Rams forced extra innings with a run in the top of the ninth as, with one out, Goulian walked and moved to second when a pickoff throw went past the first baseman. He then stole third and scored on a wild pitch.

Fordham picked up a run in the top of the eleventh, on a Goulian RBI single, but the Stags kept the game going on a Rago two-out RBI single in the bottom of the inning.

Ponte (1-2) picked up the win on the mound for the Rams, throwing two innings of one-hit relief, striking out one. Como finished the game 3-for-6 at the plate for Fordham with two RBI while Mobbs collected a pair of hits.
