Dayton's Lindsay Fletemier posted 14 kills and a .667 hitting percentage, while Nicole Bateman added 13 kills and nine digs, as the Flyers swept a three-set match from the Fordham Rams at the Frericks Center in Dayton, Ohio. Final set scores were 25-11, 25-21, and 25-16.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 11-13 overall, 1-5 in the Atlantic 10, while Dayton improves to 15-7 overall, 6-0 in conference play.
Dayton clicked on offense all match long, hitting .343 as a team, while holding Fordham to a .119 hitting percentage. Not much went Fordham's way in the match, as the Rams finished with just 28 kills, no services aces, and two team blocks.
For Fordham, Kailee May led the offense with eight kills and six digs, while Christi Griffiths had seven kills. Katherine Burrell had another double-double with 21 assists and 11 digs with Megan Arend chipping in with 13 digs.
