Fordham's Sara Friede and Kailee May both recorded double-doubles as the Rams snapped a five-match slide with a 3-0 win at Rutgers on Wednesday evening. Final set scores were 25-19, 25-20, and 25-17.
With the win, Fordham evens their record at 11-11 overall, while Rutgers falls to 1-15.
Fordham hit extremely well offensively, connecting on a .314 hitting percentage in the match, led by Katie Wells and Christi Griffiths, who both hit over .400 for the match.
For Fordham, Kailee May posted 10 kills, 11 digs and four aces, while Sara Friede recorded 11 kills and 13 digs. Katie Wells added eight kills and three blocks on the night with Megan Arend having 13 digs.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, October 17th, as they play at Xavier, beginning at 7:00 PM.
