The Fordham University water polo squad opened play at the 2007 Princeton Invitational falling to the host school, 15th-ranked Princeton, 15-8, on Friday night. The loss drops the Rams to 2-3 on the season while the Tigers won their season opener.
The Rams trailed 6-2 after the first quarter before shut down the Tiger offense in the second quarter to cut the deficit to two at the half, 6-4. But Princeton exploded for seven goals in the third quarter to take a commanding 13-5 lead en route to the 15-8 win.
Ryan Hultman led all Fordham scorers with four goals and one assist while Brian Jucas chipped in with a pair of goals. Timmy Will recorded eight saves and three steals in goal for the Rams
The Rams will continue play at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, facing 13th-ranked Bucknell at 12:30 pm and tenth-ranked Navy at 8:40 pm.
