Bronx, N.Y. - Dayton's Kortney Norris and Jamie-Lee Richards each had 11 kills, while Bethany Akerhielm had eight kills and nine blocks, as the 16th ranked Flyers topped the Fordham Rams in three games at the Rose Hill Gym.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 9-13 overall, 2-2 in the Atlantic 10, while Dayton remains unbeaten at 17-0 overall, 4-0 in the league.
Dayton hit .360 in the match to go with 11.5 team blocks, as they won the match by scores of 30-24, 30-23, and 30-19.
For Fordham, the Rams had a milestone reached in the second game as senior Stephanie Frost became the Rams' career leader in digs with 1,479, passing Tasha Johnston's record of 1,473, set last season. In addition to Frost's mark, Christi Griffiths had 10 kills and three blocks, while Lauren Fitzsimon had nine kills and 11 digs.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, October 5th, as they play at Duquesne at 7:00 PM.
