Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook's Morgan Sweany recorded 24 kills, 10 digs, and four service aces, while Jackie Ahlers had 15 kills as the Seawolves swept a three-game match from the Fordham Rams in Stony Brook, N.Y. Final game scores were 30-21, 30-26, and 33-31.
With the loss, Fordham drops to 9-11 overall, while Stony Brook improves to 12-6.
Stony Brook clicked on most offensive cylinders, hitting .360 for the match, committing just nine errors.
Fordham hit .168 for the match, and was led offensively by Lauren Fitzsimon, as she recorded her first career double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Christi Griffiths added 10 kills, while Katie Wells added seven kills. Emilie Stewart also chipped in six kills, four digs, and two aces.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, September 28th, as they host Atlantic 10 opponent, Xavier University, at 7:00 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
