Fordham Men's Soccer Plays To Scoreless Tie With Delaware

Newark, Del. - Freshman keeper Dan Hajducky recorded ten saves in net to help the Fordham University men's soccer squad play to a 0-0 overtime draw with the University of Delaware at the Delaware Mini-Stadium. With the tie, the Rams are now 1-4-2 on the year while Delaware stands at 0-5-1.

The Blue Hens out shot the Rams 16-10 on the night, including an 11-4 advantage in the first half when Hajducky made five of his ten saves. Neither squad recorded a shot in the two overtime periods.

Delaware had two chances to win the game in the final three minutes of regulation time but Hajducky denied Delaware's Tolu Olowolafe with just under three minutes on the clock and then saved a shot by Paul Danaher with just over a minute remaining.

Kevin Meyer recorded three of Fordham's ten shots, including two in the 69th minute, one of which was blocked and the other went over the cross bar.

The Rams will next be in action on Wednesday, September 26th as they travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to face the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks at 7:00 PM.
