Buffalo, N.Y. - The Fordham volleyball team opened play at the Western New York Invitational on Saturday morning, falling to Wisconsin-Milwaukee, three games to one, in Buffalo, N.Y. Final game scores were 30-21, 28-30, 30-23, and 30-28.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 3-3, while Wisconsin-Milwaukee improves to 4-1.
UWM hit .256 in the match, including a .486 clip in game three, to take control, while Fordham hit .192 as a team.
For Fordham, Christi Griffiths notched 16 kills and nine blocks, while Kailee May had 11 kills, 11 digs, and four blocks. Emilie Stewart also posted a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs, with Katherine Burrell dishing out 49 assists and 10 digs.
