St. Louis, Mo. - Saint Louis' Bridget Fonke recorded a match-high 17 kills, while Sammi McCloud had 16 kills and eight digs, as the Billikens topped the Fordham Rams, 3-1, in St. Louis, Mo.
With the loss, Fordham goes to 9-15 overall, 2-4 in the Atlantic 10, while Saint Louis improves to 13-5 overall, 2-2 in the conference.
The Saint Louis offense hit .324 in the match, compared to .223 for Fordham, while the Billikens' defense totaled 15 team blocks to Fordham's four.
For Fordham, Kailee May and Christi Griffiths each had 13 kills, while Katie Wells had 11. Emilie Stewart chipped in 10 kills and six digs, with Katherine Burrell dishing out 47 assists to go with five kills and six digs. Lauren Fitzsimon also had nine kills and 11 digs for Fordham.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Sunday, October 14th, as they host the Connecticut Huskies at 2:00 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
