Ian Pace, who spent four years at Bowling Green State University, was named Fordham University tight ends coach in June of 2013. He completed his sixth season with the unit at Rose Hill in 2018.

Last year Pace continued his streak of coaching an All-Patriot League player as Isaiah Searight earned First Team All-League honors, the sixth time a Ram earned All-Patriot honors under Pace's guidance, the second for Searight. Searight, who had 42 catches for 479 yards and four touchdowns in 2018, made 89 career receptions for 1,119 yards with ten touchdowns. He tied the school record for career touchdowns by a tight end and is just the fourth Ram tight end in school history with more than 1,000 career receiving yards.

In 2017, Pace Searight earned Second Team All-League honors after finishing the year with 33 catches for 452 yards and four touchdowns. Searight caught eight passes for 129 yards and two scores, setting a school record for most receiving yards in a game by a tight end in school history.

In 2016, Searight earned Second Team All-League honors after catching 13 passes for 181 yards (13.9 yards/reception) and two touchdowns and providing solid blocking for consensus All-American running back Chase Edmonds.

In 2015 Pace coached a tight end who earned All-Patriot League honors for the third straight year as Phazahn Odom was named second team all-conference. Odom caught a team-high 37 passes for 492 yards (13.3 yards/catch) and a team-best seven touchdowns. The seven touchdown receptions set a school record for a tight end, surpassing the old mark of six set by Stephen Skelton in 2009 and matched by All-American Dan Light in 2014.

15317In 2014, Pace helped tight end Dan Light earn All-America honors for the second straight year as the  senior caught 43 passes, a record for Fordham tight ends, for 385 yards and six touchdowns, leading all Patriot League tight ends in receptions and receiving yards. Light, who was named second team Capital One Academic All-America® and to the Academic All-Patriot League team in 2014, graduated fourth on the Fordham career reception list (177) and tenth on the career receiving yards list (1,594).

In 2013, Pace guided Light to All-America, All-ECAC and All-Patriot League honors as the junior received Third Team All-America accolades from Beyond Sports Network and First Team and Academic All-League honors from the Patriot League. He led all league tight ends with 66 receptions (a school record for tight ends) for 588 yards (the second most receiving yards for a Fordham tight end) and two touchdowns. He ranked second among all NCAA FCS tight ends in receptions per game (4.7) and was third in receiving yards per game (42.0) and ranked eighth in the Patriot League in receptions per game (4.7) and tenth in receiving yards per game (33.2).

Pace, who was a letterman with the Fordham football program from 2005-2008, returned to Rose Hill after serving on the staff at Bowling Green under former Fordham head coach Dave Clawson. Pace served as a graduate assistant coach for three years with the Falcons, assisting in daily meetings, practice planning, and game planning for the offensive line. His responsibilities included preparing scouting reports and tendency breakdowns for the offensive staff, maintaining offensive and junior college recruiting boards and running daily meetings for the freshmen offensive lineman. Pace was also assigned to recruit the New York, Southeast Ohio and California areas.

Pace was named a Footballscoop.com Graduate Assistant of the Day (May 16th, 2012) and helped the Bowling Green offense average 153.4 rushing yards per game in 2012, after the Falcons averaged 62.8 yards/game in 2010. The Bowling Green offensive line ranked 17th nationally in sacks allowed and 42nd nationally in TFLs allowed in 2012.

Prior to his on-field experience, Pace served as the football academic coordinator from July 2009 until August 2010 where he designed semester academic schedules for returning student-athletes, evaluated and instructed football personnel in all phases of academics and prepared and operated weekly study hall.

In his four years at Bowling Green, Pace coached five All-MAC Offensive linemen, and the Falcons appeared in the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl and 2012 Military Bowl.

A 2009 Fordham College at Rose Hill graduate, Pace was a four-year member of the offensive line, starting at left tackle and left guard as a senior. He also earned a masters in education with a specialization in Sports Administration from Bowling Green State University in December 2012.

A graduate of Avon Lake High School in Avon Lake, Ohio, Pace was an Honorable Mention All-Southwestern Conference and First Team All-County selection for the Shoremen. He was also a Second Team All-Cleveland Plain Dealer pick and was a member of the 2003 Division II state champions and 2004 Division II state runner-ups.
