Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham women's soccer head coach
Jessica Clinton announced the team's 2017 schedule today. The 25
th season of varsity women's soccer features an opening weekend trip to the west coast, 10 home contests, and a 10-game Atlantic 10 conference slate, as the Rams look for their third straight trip to the Atlantic 10 Championship.
The Rams open the 2017 season in Reno, Nevada, where Fordham will take on the Nevada Wolfpack on August 18
th. It will be the second-ever meeting between the two schools with the prior meeting in 2009.
Fordham will continue its opening weekend with its first-ever game in California, when the Rams play at Saint Mary's on August 20
th. The Rams have only played two California-based teams in its previous 24 seasons which were Sacramento State in 2000 at home and Pacific in 2009 at a neutral site.

Fordham finishes its opening road stretch to start the season with the annual Battle of the Bronx at Manhattan on August 25
th.
After three straight road contests, the Rams play six of the next seven games at home at Jack Coffey Field, leading right into Atlantic 10 action. Fordham's home opener is against Seton Hall on August 31
st, followed by home contests against Holy Cross (Sept. 3), Connecticut (Sept. 10), Columbia (Sept. 15), Hartford (Sept. 17), and Rhode Island (Sept. 21). The only non-home game in that stretch is on September 8
th at Hofstra.
Atlantic 10 play starts with the home contest against Rhode Island on September 21st, and will also feature home games against Duquesne (Oct. 1), St. Bonaventure (Oct. 5), Davidson (Oct. 12), and Saint Louis (Oct. 22).
In Atlantic 10 road action, Fordham will have games at Massachusetts (Sept. 24), George Washington (Sept. 28), Richmond (Oct. 8), La Salle (Oct. 15), and Saint Joseph's (Oct. 19).
With that conference schedule, the Rams will look for their third consecutive berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship, which will happen October 28
th through November 5
th. Quarterfinal games will be played at higher seeded sites with the semifinals and championship game taking place at VCU's SportsBackers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.
