Article - Haiti Travels Together on Road to 2014 CWC The 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship begins on Wednesday evening with group stage play, and one former Ram, Kim Boulos, will be right in the thick of the action.
Boulos, a native of Croton, N.Y. and a 2009 Fordham graduate, will be playing for the Haiti National Team at the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship, which will run from October 15
th through the 26
th.
Boulos will be returning to the team after two knee operations, which followed Haiti's Olympic qualifiers.
Though she played only two seasons at Fordham after transferring from South Carolina, Boulos remains one of the Rams' top goal scorers, netting a total of 16 goals from 2007-08, which is tied for tenth all-time at Rose Hill. She was a two-time All-Atlantic 10 selection (First Team – 2008; Second Team – 2007), a two-time All-Northeast Region pick (NSCAA Second Team – 2007; Soccer Buzz Magazine All-Northeast – 2008), and an Academic All-Atlantic 10 honoree (2008).
Boulos and the Haitian National Team will play three group stage games in five days, starting on Wednesday, October 15
th, when the squad takes on Guatelmala at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kansas, beginning at 6:00 PM.
The team will then play Friday, October 17
th, against Trinidad at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois, and finish group play with a showdown against the United States on Sunday, October 19
th at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.
