Men’s Soccer Announces 2018 Schedule

Bronx, N.Y. – (June 5, 2018) - Fordham men's soccer head coach Jim McElderry announced the team's 2018 schedule today, as the Rams will look for their fourth trip to the NCAA Championship in the last five seasons.
 
The schedule features three teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season, a Labor Day weekend trip to Wisconsin for two match-ups with Big Ten opponents, home match-ups with local rivals Columbia, Seton Hall, and Stony Brook, seven total home games, and an eight-game conference slate.
 
The Rams begin their 2018 schedule with six straight contests away from Jack Coffey Field, beginning with a road game against Holy Cross on August 24^th at 7:00 PM.
 
Fordham will then make its first-ever road trip to Wisconsin on Labor Day Weekend, where the Rams will take on a pair of Big Ten opponents, facing Wisconsin, who made it to the Third Round of NCAA Championship last season, on September 1^st, followed by Northwestern on September 3^rd.

 
Fordham stays on the road for three more contests against Bryant (Sept. 8), Marist (Sept. 12), and Manhattan (Sept. 18), before finally having the team's home opener against Columbia, who also made the NCAA Tournament a year ago, on September 21^st at 7:00 PM.  The Rams then conclude non-conference action with home games against Seton Hall (Sept. 25) and Stony Brook (Oct. 2).
 
Atlantic 10 action begins on September 29th, as the Rams host Rhode Island for a 7:00 PM start.  Fordham's other home conference games are against Massachusetts (Oct. 13), George Washington (Oct. 17), and Dayton (Oct. 31).
 
For road games, Fordham plays at Saint Joseph's on October 6^th, Duquesne on October 10^th, Davidson on October 20^th, and La Salle on October 27^th.
 
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held, November 4-11, with quarterfinal action being played at the higher seed's home field.  The semifinals and final will take play in St. Louis, Missouri.
 
In addition to the regular season schedule, Fordham will also have an exhibition contest against St. John's on August 10^th at 7:00 PM, and on August 18^th at Lehigh.
