Newport News, Va. - (May 19, 2018) – Behind a 16-8 conference record, the Fordham baseball team has earned the #3 seed at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship, which begins on Wednesday, May 23
rd, at George Washington's Tucker Field at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Virginia.
The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the seedings and game times for the Championship on Saturday with Fordham in the opening game on Wednesday at 10:00 AM against sixth-seeded VCU.
Fordham finished in a tie for second with George Mason, but George Mason received the second seed due to record against the highest common opponent tie-breaker, where the Patriots were 2-1 against Richmond, while Fordham went 1-2.
For the remaining seeds, Saint Louis is the top seed and receives an opening round bye. Richmond is the #4 seed and will play fifth seed Davidson at 5:00 PM on Wednesday.
The 1:30 game on Wednesday features George Mason against #7 seed George Washington.
