Orlando, Fla. - Orlando, Fla. – The Fordham women's tennis team's season came to an end with a 4-0 loss to top seeded VCU in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida on Thursday afternoon.
After taking the doubles point VCU went on to complete the sweep in singles play as Noumea Witmus defeated
Gianna Insogna 6-0, 6-2 at fourth singles, Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado bested
Tatiana Grigoryan 6-1, 6-1 and Sofia Sualehe clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over
Whitney Weisberg at sixth singles.
The Rams finish the 2017-18 season with a 9-10 overall record.
