Newport News, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly tennis awards on Wednesday, with Fordham's
Max Green named Men's Rookie of the Week.
It is the first weekly honor for Green and the second for the men's program this season.
Green went 2-0 in his matches to help lead Fordham to a 4-2 victory over conference foe Saint Joseph's on Saturday. The freshman defeated Beekman Schaeffer 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and teamed with
Allen Thornes to defeat the Hawks 6-3 at the third doubles position.
Green and the Rams return to action Sunday April 15 as they host St. Francis Brooklyn at 12 p.m. at Hawthorn Rooney Tennis Courts.
