2018 Fordham Football Schedule

- A schedule that features six home games on Jack Coffey Field and a road game at FCS Charlotte highlights the eleven-game 2018 Fordham University football schedule released today.
The 2018 season, Fordham's 118th of varsity football, will be the first for head coach
Joe Conlin, who arrives at Fordham after serving as the associate head coach/offensive coordinator at Yale for the past four years where he led the Bulldogs to the 2017 Ivy League title.
The Rams open the season on Saturday, September 1, as they travel to Charlotte, N.C., to face the Charlotte 49ers out of Conference USA. It will be the first meeting between Fordham and Charlotte and the seventh straight year that Fordham has played an NCAA FBS opponent.
On September 8 the Rams again travel south, venturing down to Richmond, Va., to take on the University of Richmond Spiders from the CAA. It will be the just the second meeting between the Rams and the Spiders on the gridiron, the first since 1995 (a 3-3 tie on Jack Coffey Field).
The following week, September 15, the Rams will open their home schedule with a visit from Stony Brook, another member of the CAA for football. The Rams and Seawolves have met twice in the past when both schools played at the NCAA Div. II level in the 1980's.

Following the home opener, the Rams host the defending Northeast Conference champions, Central Connecticut State University, for Homecoming on Jack Coffey Field on September 22. It will be the second meeting between the Rams and the Blue Devils with Fordham taking the first meeting last year in New Britain.
Following a bye week, Fordham opens Patriot League play on Saturday, October 6, by hosting the Georgetown University Hoyas. It will be the 61st meeting between the Rams and the Hoyas with Fordham, who has won the past six matchups, leading the all-time series, 37-20-3.
The Rams stay in Patriot League play the following week as they travel to Bethlehem, Pa., to face two-time defending Patriot League champions, Lehigh University, on Saturday, October 13. The Ramsm have won four of the past five meetings with the Mountain Hawks, including a 45-35 win on Jack Coffey Field last fall, the only league loss for Lehigh in 2017.
Fordham returns to Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, October 20, to close out its non-conference slate with a visit from Bryant University. It will be the fourth meeting between the Rams and the Bulldogs.
The Rams jump back into Patriot League play on Saturday, October 27, as they welcome Lafayette College to Jack Coffey Field for Family Weekend. Fordham has won four of the past six meetings with the Leopards.
Fordham then hosts Colgate University for a Patriot League contest on Jack Coffey Field on November 3. The Rams have taken three of the past five meetings with the Raiders.
The Rams go on the road for their last two Patriot League contests, beginning with a trip to Worcester, Mass., for the annual Ram-Crusader Cup Game with Holy Cross on Saturday, November 10. The game will mark the 56th meeting between the Rams and the Crusaders. Fordham has taken five of the past six matchups with their fellow Jesuit institution.

Fordham closes out the regular season with an outing to Lewisburg, Pa., to face Bucknell University on November 17. The Rams have taken the past five meetings with the Bison, including a 20-9 win on Jack Coffey Field last November.
The Rams return six starters on both sides of the ball in 2018, led by senior tight end and co-captain
Isaiah Searight, a second team All-Patriot League selections last fall, and senior wide receiver
Austin Longi, a first team All-Patriot League selections last fall, and senior defensive back and co-captain
Dylan Mabin, a first team All-Patriot League pick in 2017, along with sophomore linebacker
Glenn Cunningham, a freshman All-American in 2017 as well as a second team All-Patriot League pick.
