Harrison, N.Y. – The Fordham men's tennis team defeated Saint Peter's 5-2 for its second win in as many days at Life Time Athletic on Saturday night.
The Rams won the the doubles point for the second straight match as
Max Green and
Allen Thornes defeated Ignacio Tintore and Igor Khvorostian 6-2 in third doubles,
Finn Kemper and
Jeremy Chung defeated John Oxner and Hector Andres Jacome 6-4 at second singles and
Lutwin de Macar and
Fabian Hansch Mauritzson edged Ivan Knezevic and Piotr Sowinski 7-5 at the first doubles position.
The Rams then went on to take all but two singles matches as Kemper cruised past Knezevic 6-1, 6-1 at fifth singles, de Macar defeated Jacome 6-4, 6-3 at first singles, Hansch Mauritzson bested Tintore 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the match at fourth singles and
Alex Makatsaria defeated Khvorostian 6-1, 6-3 at sixth singles.
The Rams will wrap up weekend play Sunday March 25 as they travel to North Haven, Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac.
