Harrison, N.Y. – The Fordham men's tennis team blanked Yeshiva 7-0 at Life Time Athletic on Friday afternoon.
The Rams started strong taking the doubles point as
Alex Makatsaria and
Steven Duka defeated Dor Gutterman and Charlie Friedman 6-0 at second doubles and
Cameron Posillico and
Harris Durkovic defeated Mikey Ozery and Avidan Rudansky 6-4 in third doubles.
The Rams then made it a clean sweep in singles play as
Max Green defeated Adam Rosemblaum 6-1, 6-3 at first singles,
Allen Thornes cruised past Gutterman 6-1, 6-0 at second singles,
Jeremy Chung bested Ozery 6-2, 6-3 at third singles,
Gabriel Mashaal defeated Friedman 6-3, 6-2 at fourth singles, Duka defeated Lior Brik 6-0, 7-5 at fifth singles and Posillico earned a hard-fought victory over Rudansky 7-6, 7-5.
The Rams return to action Saturday March 24 as they take on Saint Peter's at Life Time Athletic.
