Harrison, N.Y. – The Fordham men's tennis team defeated Connecticut 6-1 for their fourth straight win at Life Time Athletic on Saturday.
The Rams started the match earning a hard-fought doubles point as
Lutwin de Macar and
Fabian Hansch Mauritzson defeated Justin Warren and John Holtman 7-5 at first doubles and
Finn Kemper and
Jeremy Chung bested Yili Zheng and Jon Edwards 7-6 at the second doubles position.
Fordham was almost perfect in singles play taking five of six matches as Kemper defeated Warren in a three-set battle 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 in fourth singles, de Macar bested Zheng 6-4, 7-6 in first singles,
Alex Makatsaria battled to a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Holtman in sixth singles, Hansch Mauritzson defeated McLister 6-4, 7-6 in third singles and Green bested Hank Hill 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 in second singles.
The Rams return to action Sunday March 4 as they host St. John's at Life Time Athletic.
