Newport News, Va. – (February 13, 2018) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly indoor track & field awards on Tuesday with Fordham senior
Brian Cook (Pearl River, N.Y.) being named Men's Performer of the Week for his efforts at the BU Valentine Invitational this past weekend. This is Cook's second weekly award this season.
Cook broke the Fordham school record in the 1,000 meters on Saturday at the BU Valentine Invitational. He placed ninth overall in a school record and IC4A qualifying time of 2:24.97, surpassing the previous mark of 2:25.80, set by teammate
Louis Santelli earlier this season.
Cook and the rest of the Rams will next be in action this coming weekend, when they compete at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be at Mackal Fieldhouse in Kingston, Rhode Island.
