Max Green took second singles and teamed up with
Allen Thornes to win at third doubles to lead Fordham University to a 6-1 win over La Salle University at Life Time Athletic.
With the win, Fordham improves to 6-2 on the season.
The Rams opened the match taking two of the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Lutwin de Macar and
Fabian Hansch Mauritzson took first doubles from Francesco Mowrey and Tomas Christian, 6-2, while Green and Thornes took third doubles from Colin Lucius and Patrick Pascual, 7-5.
Fordham then won five of the six singles matches for the win.
Finn Kemper got thing started for the Rams with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Andrija Bozovic at fifth singles before Green gave the Rams a 3-1 lead with a 6-3, 6-1 decision over Christian at the second position.
After de Macar dropped first singles to Mowrey, 7-5, 6-4, Thornes defeated Connor Merrill at fourth singles, 7-5, 7-5, to clinch the win for Fordham.
Alex Makatsaria upended Pascual at the sixth position, 6-1, 7-5, 6-3, and Mauritzson defeated Rogelio Gonzalez at third singles, 7-5, 2-6, 6-2 for the 6-1 final.
The Rams return to action on Saturday, February 17, as they travel to St. Bonaventure University for a 10:00 AM match with the Bonnies.
