Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2017-2018 Atlantic 10 season, the 115th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by hosting the University of Richmond Spiders in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday, January 3, at 7:00 p.m.
The game will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network with Andrew Bogusch (p-b-p) and Kenny Ducey (color) announcing and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and
www.wfuvsports.org with Matt Murphy (p-b-p) and Vinny DeBellis (color) announcing.
Fordham enters the game with a 5-8 overall record, 0-1 in the Atlantic 10, after a 76-63 A-10 loss at VCU on Saturday afternoon while Richmond is 3-10 overall, 1-0 in the conference, after a 69-58 A-10 win over Davidson in Richmond on Saturday.
Wednesday night's contest will be the 27th meeting between Fordham and Richmond on the hardwood with the Spiders leading the all-time series, which started in the 1984-85 season, 19-7.
Notes
• Senior guard
Will Tavares, who leads the Rams in scoring (17.0 ppg), has scored in double figures in each of the 13 games this year. He is currently tenth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring.
• Junior guard
Joseph Chartouny leads the Atlantic 10 and is second in the NCAA this year in steals/game with 3.54.
• Chartouny has 196 career steals, good for sixth on the Fordham all-time list.
• Chartouny has 358 career helpers, ninth-best in school history.
• The 2017-2018 Rams are fifth the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (67.6) and are third in the league in three-point field goal percentage defense (.315).
• Fordham also leads the league in steals with 143 (11.0/game).
