Newport News, Va. – Fordham volleyball's sophomore standout
Olivia Fairchild has today been announced as the Co-Player of the Week, her second consecutive award to begin the campaign and the third of her career. Fairchild splits the honor with VCU's Tori Baldwin. Baldwin's teammate Jasmin Sneed takes home Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, while La Salle's Samantha Graver takes home Rookie accolades.

Fairchild tallied her first three double-doubles of the season over the last seven days, helping the Rams to a 2-1 record, and being named to the All-Tournament team for the dual Volley in the Valley/Rose Hill Classic co-hosted by Fordham and Marist. The Phoenix native led the squad in kills in all three matches, 11 in a sweep at Manhattan, 16 in a loss to Cleveland State, and 15 in a win over Rider. Fairchild also notched 10, 11, and 11 digs, respectively, while adding a pair of assists, an ace, and five total blocks.

Fairchild currently sits 57
th in the country with 94 total kills, 40
th with 4.27 kills per set, 37
th with 4.84 points per set, and 60
th with 106.5 total points. She is nearly matching her 4.30 kills per set from a season ago and her current .362 attack percentage would rank first in a single season in school history.
