Newport News, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly men's soccer awards today for games played August 28
th - September 3
rd with Fordham junior forward
Janos Loebe (Kierspe, Germany) earning Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors. He shares the honor with VCU's Rafael Andrade Santos.
This is Loebe's fifth career weekly award, having been named Offensive Player of the Week twice last season and Rookie of the Week twice in 2015.
In Fordham's lone contest this week, Loebe scored the game-winning goal against St. John's on Friday night, as he registered three shots in the game. The 1-0 win is the Rams' first over St. John's since 1990.
Loebe and the rest of the Fordham men's soccer team will next be in action on Friday, September 8
th, when the Rams finish up their five-match road swing to open the season at Lafayette. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
