New Haven, Conn. – The Fordham University golf team opened play Saturday at the Macdonald Cup at The Course at Yale, where the Rams are in 13
th place after 36 holes.
Senior
Matt Schiller led the way for the Rams, firing rounds of 71-75 for a two-round total of 146, placing him in a tie for 20
th place. Also in action for the Rams,
Joseph Trim shot rounds of 72-75 for a total score of 147, good for a tie for 30
th,
James Mongey is tied for 64
th place after rounds of 76-79-155,
Tomas Nieves shot 77-80 to finish in a tie for 67
th and
Josh Madarang posted rounds of 80-78, good for a tie for 70
th.
Kyle Morris, competing as an individual, shot matching rounds of 82 for a two-round total score of 164 and is currently in 78
th place.
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday. Â
