Bronx, N.Y. – Following a pair of wins last week, the Fordham men's soccer team looks to extend its three-match win streak at home this week, as the Rams will host Manhattan for the annual Battle of the Bronx on Wednesday night, while taking on Bryant on Saturday afternoon on Alumni Day.

SERIES HISTORY: The annual Battle of the Bronx between Fordham and Manhattan takes center stage, as one of the longest on-going series, dating back to 1969. Fordham holds a 29-12-3 record since that first match-up in 1969. In recent history, the Rams have had the edge, going 9-0-2 since 2005. Manhattan's last win was 1-0 decision in 2004. In last year's meeting, the two teams played to a scoreless draw, with goalkeepers
Rashid Nuhu and Connor Hayes, posting four saves each. On Saturday, it will be the second-ever meeting between Fordham and Bryant, with the Rams winning the only other meeting in 2008 by a 3-1 score.
LOEBE & NUHU CAPTURE WEEKLY ATLANTIC 10 AWARDS (9/18): The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly men's soccer awards on Monday, with Fordham junior forward
Janos Loebe (Kierspe, Germany) being named Offensive Player of the Week, while junior goalkeeper
Rashid Nuhu (Accra, Ghana) was selected as co-Defensive Player of the Week. This is Loebe's second weekly award of the season and the sixth of his career, while for Nuhu it is his first of 2017 and fourth of his career.
Loebe netted the game-winning goals in both of Fordham's wins this past week over Marist and Quinnipiac. He broke a 1-1 tie on Wednesday with a goal in the 81
st minute against the Red Foxes, while on Saturday, his second half marker in the 68
th minute was the lone goal in a 1-0 win. Loebe leads the Rams in goals (4), assists (2), points (10), and game-winning goals (3) this season.
Rashid Nuhu
Nuhu was in net for both wins by Fordham, improving to 4-2-1 on the season with a 0.69 goals against average. He made five saves in the Rams' home opening victory over Marist on Wednesday, while registering two saves in a shutout win at Quinnipiac. The shutout was the fourth of the season for Nuhu and the 17
th of his career.
ALUMNI GAME TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 23rd: The Fordham men's soccer team announced that this year's Alumni game will take place on Saturday, September 23
rd, following the Rams' contest against Bryant.
The Fordham-Bryant game is set for a 1:00 PM start with the Alumni Game to follow at approximately 3:00 PM or shortly following the conclusion of the Fordham-Bryant game. A post-game reception will be held following the game, where alumni, family, and friends can meet the current team and coaching staff. Food and drinks will be served. There is a $20 registration fee which includes a $10 tax-deductible gift to the men's soccer program.

LAST TIME OUT: The Fordham men's soccer team picked up its third straight victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 1-0, at QU Soccer Stadium in Hamden, Connecticut.
With the win, Fordham improved to 4-2-1, while Quinnipiac fell to 1-4-1.
After a scoreless first half that saw just four total shots, the Rams broke the stalemate in the 68
th minute.
Ross Willox played a through ball to
Janos Loebe, who tapped the ball past the Quinnipiac goalkeeper in the right corner of the net, for his fourth goal of the season and third game-winner of the year.
The Bobcats had one chance at tying the game in the 74
th minute on a shot by James Doig, however
Rashid Nuhu made one of his two saves in the match to preserve the Rams' fourth clean sheet of the year.
