On Saturday, it will be just the second meeting between Fordham and Quinnipiac. The lone previous encounter came last season at Jack Coffey Field, when the Bobcats captured a 1-0 win on the strength of a Conor McCoy goal.

LAST TIME OUT: With just one goal among a number of scoring chances in its first four contests, the Fordham men's soccer team knew it was just a matter of time before the offense would start clicking on all cylinders. The offense finally found its groove on Friday night at Lafayette, as the Rams scored four times in a 4-0 shutout of the Leopards at Oaks Stadium in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Fordham wasted no time getting on the scoreboard just 1:17 into the game. Off a
Jannik Loebe corner kick, the ball found its way into a scramble near the top of the box. Fordham's
Matthew Lewis got control and laid off a pass to the top of the half circle to
Christopher Bazzini. Bazzini then hammered a shot into the left side of the net for his first goal of the season.
The Rams made it 2-0 in the 19
th minute, once again capitalizing on a corner kick. This time,
Janos Loebe placed a perfect corner into the box for a header by Bazzini, which found the back of the net, giving him his first career multi-goal game.
Rashid Nuhu
Fordham then made 3-0 in the opening minutes of the second half. The Loebe brothers played a give-and-go down the left side in the 49
th minute, where Jannik cut back and fired back across to the far side of the net, for his first goal of the season from 15 yards out.
The scoring concluded in the 83
rd minute, as
Janos Loebe netted his second goal of the season on a turnaround shot, scoring into the left side of the goal.
Matthew McCann was credited with his first career assist on the play.
That was plenty of offense for the Rams, as Fordham posted its third clean sheet of the season with
Rashid Nuhu making three saves in goal.
WHO'S NEXT: Following this week's games, Fordham will have back-to-back home games on September 20
th as the Rams host Manhattan in the annual Battle of the Bronx at 7:00 PM, while on September 23
rd, Fordham hosts Bryant at 1:00 PM.
