Junior wide out set career-highs for receptions and receiving yards

Corey Caddle was named Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced today. It is the first weekly honor of 2017 for Caddle and the first of his career.

In a 38-31 come-from-behind win at Central Connecticut State on Saturday, Caddle caught eleven passes for 180 yards and one touchdown. The eleven receptions and 180 receiving yards are both career-high for Caddle, who caught a 14-yard scoring strike from
Kevin Anderson in the second quarter. Caddle also returned one kickoff for 15 yards and three punts for nine yards to amass 204 all-purpose yards in the game.

On the year, Caddle has 19 catches for 231 yards, both team highs, with one touchdown. He leads the Patriot League and is ranked second in the NCAA FCS in receptions/game (9.5) and is second in the league and tenth in the nation in receiving yards/game (115.5).

Caddle was also named the College Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and was joined on the College Sports Madness list by junior defensive back
Lawrence Menyah, who was named College Sports Madness Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. Menyah intercepted a pass and returned it 29 yards with 1:27 left for the game-winning score on Saturday.

The Rams (1-1) return to action on Saturday, September 16, as they host 12th-ranked Eastern Washington University in the home opener on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
