Bronx, N.Y. – The Rose Hill Gym will look a little different this year as new seating has been installed in the historic venue, providing more comfort for Fordham fans.
Â
Over the summer, all the lower level seating was replaced which included the installation of new chair back seats behind the team benches.
Â
"Replacing the seating will have an overall positive impact on our fans," said Director of Athletics
David Roach. "By increasing the number of chair back seats we will provide a more comfortable setting for the fans to watch the Rams. We are also looking forward to next summer when we complete the project with other upgrades."
Â
This renovation is the first stage of a two-part overhaul of the 92-year-old facility. Plans for stage two include replacing the wood floor and renaming it the
Frank McLaughlin Family Basketball Court as part of a $2.5 million fundraising campaign. The plans also call for the installation of a hospitality suite.
