Speedo Junior Nationals Results
As the school year approaches, a few Fordham swimmers are gearing up for the new season by competing for their club team in the USA Swimming Championship series, which was held at the Nassau County Aquatics Center in East Meadow, New York.

Fordham sophomore
Amelia Bullock, competing for Fairport Area Swimming, took part in the U.S. Open Championship from August 2-6, which featured former Olympians, as well as swimmers from the ACC, SEC, BIG TEN, PAC 12, and BIG 12.

Bullock was entered in the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly LCM (long course meters) events, and posted a time trial time of 1:17.72 in the 100 breaststroke LCM, while placing 61
st overall in the 100 butterfly LCM in 1:03.85.

One week later, Bullock was back at it at the Speedo Junior Nationals, this time competing in the 100 and 200 butterfly LCM, as well as the 200 IM LCM. After posting a time of 2:28.78 in the 200 IM LCM, she improved her time in the 100 butterfly LCM, placing 42
nd in 1:02.62, while taking 57
th in the 200 butterfly LCM in 2:26.78.

In addition to Bullock, freshman
Danny McGowan was also a competitor at the Speedo Junior Nationals with New Trier Swim Club. He was a part of two relay teams, where he placed ninth in the 4x100 LCM freestyle relay in 3:28.91, while anchoring the 4x100 LCM medley relay to a fourth place finish in 3:48.91.
