USTFCCCA Release
New Orleans, La. - The U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2017 Division I All-Academic Track & Field teams with a total of 360 men's and women's teams earning the distinction as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher. The Atlantic 10 Conference was once again a leader among the conferences for the 2016-17 season with a total of 22 teams represented, which included Fordham's men's and women's teams.
From a conference perspective, 13 Atlantic 10 women's teams were honored, while nine Atlantic 10 men's teams honored.
Fordham was one of nine Atlantic 10 schools to have both its men's and women's team honored, joining fellow Atlantic 10 teams, Davidson, Duquesne, George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Saint Joseph's and Saint Louis. The women's team from Dayton, Rhode Island, Richmond and VCU were also honored.
