Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham men's soccer head coach
Jim McElderry announced the team's 2017 schedule today, as the Rams will look to defend their 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship and make it three titles in four seasons.
The schedule features an opening weekend trip to Duke, road match-ups with local rivals St. John's and Columbia, seven home games, and an eight-game conference slate.
The Rams begin their 2017 schedule at the John Rennie Nike Invitational, hosted by Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Fordham begins the tournament against Elon University on August 25
th, and then takes on host Duke on August 27
th.

Fordham stays on the road for three more contests against St. John's (Sept. 1), Columbia (Sept. 4), and Lafayette (Sept. 8), before finally having the team's home opener against Marist on September 13
th at 7:00 PM. The Rams then conclude non-conference action with a road game at Quinnipiac on Sept. 16, before back-to-back home games against Manhattan (Sept. 20) and Bryant (Sept. 23).
Atlantic 10 action begins on September 30th, as the Rams play at George Mason, followed other Atlantic 10 road games at St. Bonaventure (Oct. 11), Rhode Island (Oct. 21), and Massachusetts (Nov. 1).
For home games, Fordham plays La Salle on October 4
th, VCU on October 7
th, Saint Joseph's on October 14
th, and Saint Louis on October 28
th.
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held, November 5-12, with quarterfinal action being played at the higher seed's home field. The semifinals and final will take play in Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to the regular season schedule, Fordham will also have exhibition contests against Stony Brook (Aug. 13) and Boston University (Aug. 16).
