Bronx, N.Y. – After attending the team's Rookie Camp this past weekend, Fordham tight end
Phazahn Odom signed a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers it was announced on Sunday.
Odom, a graduating senior from Barnwell, S.C., appeared in all eleven games in 2016, starting eight. The Preseason All-Patriot League and All-America selection caught 14 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Odom opened the season with three receptions for 66 yards with one touchdown at Navy.
As a junior in 2015, Odom caught 37 passes for 492 yards and seven touchdowns and was named second team All-Patriot League. He set a school record for most touchdown receptions by a tight end and finished fourth in the Patriot League in receiving touchdowns, tenth in yards/reception (13.30) and 13th in receptions/game (3.1).
Over his four-year career, Odom hauled in 56 passes for 740 yards and nine touchdowns. He f
inished his career tied for second in career touchdowns by a Fordham tight end.
