Final Results
Princeton, N.J. – Members of the Fordham track and field teams competed at the 2017 ECAC/IC4A Championship this weekend, held at Princeton N.J.
The highlight of the weekend for the Rams came near the end of the day on Sunday with the women's 4x800 meter relay team of
Aidan Moroz,
Shanna Heaney,
Kate McCormack and
Merissa Wright taking first place in a time of 8:54.51.
Freshman
Ryan Kutch got Fordham off to a good start on Friday, placing fourth in the 10,000 meter run in a time of 30:16.32. Also competing on Friday was
Thomas Slattery who placed 15
th in the 5,000 meter run in 14:35.41.
Ryan Kutch Takes 4th in 10,000 meter run
Due to inclement weather, all but two events got rained out on Saturday so it was a full slate of events on Sunday. The Rams got things started with the men's 400 meter dash where
Jared Benn finished 18
th in 49.91 seconds.
Next up was the women's 200 meter dash where
Mary Kate Kenny placed 18
th in 25.94 seconds.
The Rams had two other relays in action on Sunday as the women's 4x400 relay of
Jennifer Boerke,
Morgan Menzzasalma,
Nkeka Pinheiro and Kenny placed 13
th in a time of 3:55.30 and the men's 4x800 relay of Benn,
Sean Phillips,
Sean Sullivan and
Byrne Cronin finished in tenth place in 7:45.63.
