Seeds Set for Atlantic 10 Tennis Championships

Newport News, Va. – The seeds have been set for the 2017 Atlantic 10 Tennis Championships, with the Fordham women receiving the third seed, while the men are seeded 11^th.

The Fordham women will open A-10 play against No. 14 La Salle at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams defeated the Explorers 7-0 in Philadelphia on April 8. The Fordham/LaSalle winner will take on the winner of Dayton/Rhode Island at 9:00 am on Friday.  VCU earned the top seed for the fifth straight year.

The Fordham men will challenge No. 6 Saint Louis at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The winner of Fordham/Saint Louis will face No. 3 VCU at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Richmond earned the top seed.

Every match of the championship will be played at the new, state-of-the-art USTA National Campus, which is hosting the A-10 Men's and Women's Tennis Championship for the first time. Admission will be free for the A-10 Championships. 

The semifinals will be played Saturday at 10:00 am and the championship finale is Sunday at 10:00 am and will be broadcast live on ESPN3. The winner of the 2017 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
