Blacksburg, Va. - Fordham junior diver
Wendy Espina-Esquivel took part in the two-day NCAA Zone "A" Diving Championship, held at Virginia Tech's Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Espina-Esquivel represented the Maroon and White well in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events, competing at the Zone Championship for the second straight year.

On Monday, she placed 30
th out of 55 divers on the three-meter board with a score of 238.00 points, and followed that up by finishing 25
th out of 52 divers in the one-meter event with a total score of 230.05 points.
Her performance at the Zone Diving Championship capped a solid season at Fordham for Espina-Esquivel. She set the school record in the one-meter dive event, while earning Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in the one-meter diving event at the Atlantic 10 Championship for the second consecutive year.
