Boston, Mass. – It was a solid final day at the 2017 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championship on Sunday at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, as Fordham scored in three event finals.
Overall, Fordham finished tied for 19
th in the men's competition with 12 points, while the women were 36
th with 6 points.
Michael Petersen finishes 7th in 500 meter run
The day began with the men's 400 meter run, where
Jared Benn finished ninth in a time of 48.55.
The next final for the Rams was the men's 500 meter dash in which
Michael Petersen finished seventh in 1:03.55. Then, in the men's 800 meter run,
Louis Santelli finished in fifth place in a time of 1:50.94.
The next event final for Fordham was the men's 3,000 meter run, where
Ryan Kutch finished 14
th in a time of 8:20.27.

Jared Benn finishes 9th in
400 meter dash on Sunday
The last of the finals for the Rams was the women's 4x800 relay, where
Sydney Snow,
Shanna Heaney,
Kate McCormack and
Merissa Wright earned bronze, finishing in third place in a time of 8:55.04.
Junior
Brian Cook had qualified to compete in the men's 3,000 meter run and the mile run, as well as the 4x800 relay, but he had to withdraw due to illness.
The Rams now have a couple weeks off before opening the outdoor season on March 24 as they travel to the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond, Va.
